A large-scale air show will be held on 18 and 19 June 2011 at the 113 French Air Force Base in Saint-Dizier (Haute-Marne) with the participation of the Patrouille de France (Acrobatic Aerial Patrol of the French Air Force). Numerous planes, both vintage and modern, civil and military, French and foreign, will perform aerobatic stunts, and multiple activities are also planned on the ground. The patron of the 113 Air Force Base is Major Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, who served on this base from December 1939 to June 1940.
During this air show, the Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Youth Foundation will welcome a delegation of 40 youths from the Maison Saint-Exupéry of Meudon (an establishment that hosts disadvantaged youth under the Apprentis d’Auteuil Foundation) to share this unique event with them and introduce them to the different professions of the aeronautical industry.
The Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Youth Foundation will also have an exhibition booth at the 113 Air Force Base during these two days, with the aim of presenting its different activities in favour of disadvantaged youth, which it carries out in collaboration with several of its partners, among them: Les Ailes du Petit Prince, Les Citoyens du Ciel, Raid Latécoère, SIPAR…
