On 15 November 2014, the comic book “Saint-Exupéry, le seigneur des sables” (“Saint-Exupéry, Lord of the Sands”) was awarded the 2014 aeronautical comic book prize at the fifth edition of the Aerospace Festival held at the Cité de l’Espace (Space Museum) of Toulouse.
In this fiction inspired by real facts, scriptwriter Pierre-Roland Saint-Dizier and cartoonist Cédric Fernandez pay tribute to the famous writer and aviator, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, while recounting the great adventure of the pioneers of aviation of the Latécoère company, the future Aéropostale (French airmail service)
This superb comic book, published by Editions Glénat, supports the Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Youth Foundation’s initiatives for the education of disadvantaged youth.
The Raid Latécoère, partner of the Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Youth Foundation, received the festival’s Documentary Prize for a film directed by Méliane Rocher on its air expedition in South America.
