01-SIPAR_ROLUOS_CAMBODGEOn 7 March 2014, the Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Youth Foundation (FASEJ) officially inaugurated two new buildings and a library for the benefit of 1,200 disadvantaged children of Hun Sen Roluos Primary School, located in the village of Roluos, as well as a new bibliobus (mobile library) in favour of more than 5,000 children in villages located in the Siem Reap region of Cambodia.

This event took place in the presence of the school’s students and their parents, teachers and the main actors in the field of education in Cambodia: UNESCO, the local authorities, including the governor of Siem Reap and the provincial director of education, and the delegate general of the Foundation, Olivier d’Agay, great-nephew of the writer-aviator.

This project, supported by our Foundation and the Swiss watch manufacturer IWC Schaffhausen, is a continuation of a more than 10-year partnership with the Franco-Cambodian association, SIPAR. This non-profit organisation has contributed to the fight against illiteracy and the development of reading in Cambodia for the past 20 years, thanks notably to a branch publishing books in Khmer, among which figure The Little Prince.
