Antoine de Saint-Exupéry is the inspiration for this first festival, initiated by Eric Moreau, a fan of the writer-pilot, and hosted by the city of Jonzac, in Charente-Maritime, where the author of The Little Prince had stopped over in 1940, before reaching Bordeaux then North Africa. More than 300 students from Haute-Saintonge participated in this beautiful homage to Saint-Ex through a series of activities – exhibitions, performances and lectures – tracing the major life stages of this famous aviator and presenting his literary work, with the participation of confirmed artists such as Patrick le Tuault, Benoît Hapiot and Arlette Sanchis.
Patron of the Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Youth Foundation, Claudie Haigneré (President of Universcience), enriched this beautiful event by accepting to answer questions from the youth of Saintonge about her trip into space during a video projection of the astronaut presented at the “Familia” cinema.
