Writer and publishing director of Radio France, Jean-Pierre Guéno, gave a private talk entitled “Antoine de Saint-Exupéry: For an Ecology of the Soul” in Lille on 7 April 2011 in support of our Foundation, which was inspired by his book La mémoire du Petit Prince (The Memoir of the Little Prince)*, published by Éditions Jacob-Duvernet.
Author of many illustrated books shining light on the most beautiful texts and manuscripts of the French language, this former student of the École Normale Supérieure (one of France’s most prestigious grandes écoles) is a “purveyor” of words and memories. At the dawn of the 67th anniversary of the disappearance of the famous writer and aviator, Guéno shares with us the life and works of literature of Saint-Ex, which provide us with a marvellous antidote for our planet at a time where the human “anthill” is running out of steam and globalising.
* Journal on Saint-Exupéry’s life narrated by the Little Prince and illustrated with family snapshots, manuscripts, personal effects and the thoughts of this exceptional man.
