Jean-Pierre Guéno revisits the thinking of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry in his new book, La Terre en Héritage : Sauver la Planète du Petit Prince (Inheriting the Earth: Saving the Little Prince’s Planet), published by Éditions Jacob-Duvernet and now available in bookstores throughout France.
Through this album superbly illustrated with drawings by the author of The Little Prince, as well as photographs by Yann Arthus-Bertrand and NASA, Jean-Pierre Guéno invites readers to discover the visionary thinking that the writer-aviator developed in the 1930s around the question of the environment.
Three personalities in the patronage committee of the Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Youth Foundation contributed to this book. The preface consists of an interview with French astronaut Claudie Haigneré, Chairwoman of Universcience (French Science Museum), while the afterword is dedicated to Bertrand Piccard and André Borschberg, cofounders of Solar Impulse, the first airplane in the world powered solely by solar energy.

The Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Youth Foundation is currently working with Jean-Pierre Guéno in the preparation of a unique exhibition inspired by this beautiful book, which will be completed thanks to the support of the Musée des Lettres et Manuscrits, in the aim of conveying Saint-Ex’s visionary message and to raise awareness among youth about the environmental challenges of the 21st century.
