Officially launched in Paris on 29 June 2009, upon the closure of the Antoine de Saint-Exupéry International Seminars which took place against the prestigious backdrop of the Collège des Bernardins, in the presence of the Chairperson of its patronage committee, Mrs Claudie Haigneré (former French Minister, astronaut and President of Universcience), the Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Youth Foundation was created, under the aegis of the Fondation de France, by the heirs of Saint-Exupéry.
The goal of this Foundation is to lead charitable activities in favour of youth worldwide. Its activities are based on the universal humanist values of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, which resonate strongly across the four corners of the globe. Among the Foundation’s patrons, which today allow the financing of its first projects, is Swiss watch manufacturer IWC Schaffhausen and the Museum of Letters and Manuscripts in Paris.
