On Monday, 15 June 2015, François d’Agay, Chairman of the Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Youth Foundation (FASEJ), signed a partnership agreement with Guy Tardieu, Delegate General of the FNAM, the main professional organisation of the French aviation sector.
Through this special partnership, the two organisations commit themselves to mutually promoting initiatives for the education and training of youth, in particular thanks to the Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Youth Cup (formerly named the VZ Cup). This competition aims to promote jobs in the aviation sector among secondary school and A-Level students.
The FASEJ and the FNAM share the same values such as civic rights, moral rectitude and the respect of others and the common good, as well as team spirit, solidarity, passion and sharing.
Reaffirming these values that they wish to transmit to youth, the two organisations indicate their desire to raise awareness of careers in aviation among youth. The famous writer-cum-aviator, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, thus becomes the link between aviation jobs and civic rights, to the great advantage of youth.
By signing this partnership, the FNAM associates the Foundation with the initiatives it has led since 2002 with the Ministry of National Education and the French Civil Aviation Authority (DGAC) in the aim of strengthening the links that exist between the corporate and academic worlds. This new partnership, officially announced during the 51st Paris Air Show at Le Bourget, also offers the FNAM new opportunities within the framework of its projects for youth.
