This exhibition, conceived by writer and historian Jean-Pierre Guéno, was achieved thanks to the sponsorship of the Museum of Letters and Manuscripts.

Magnificently illustrated with a selection of photographs by Yann Arthus-Bertrand and dramatic images of the earth as seen from the sky and space taken by NASA, as well as photographs taken by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry himself and unpublished drawings of “The Little Prince”, this exhibition illustrates the environmental thinking of the writer-aviator and shows us the diversity and beauty of our planet, but also its great fragility.

During this event, three students training at the Air Force officers School of Air Base 701 in Salon-de-Provence read a text by Virgil Tanase paying tribute to Pierre Sudreau, member of the resistance during WWII and former minister of General de Gaulle, who was a member of F-ASEJ’s patronage committee.

The association “Les Ailes du Petit Prince”, which offers first flights in light aircraft to sick and handicapped children, was also honoured during this ceremony for its exemplary activities.
